Manufacturing of polysilicon is one the proposed project of Shail Group. This upcoming project is expected to start before 2023 in India. Polysilicon is a base product to make a solar panel. Currently Most of the countries along with India has dependency on China for solar related products. But looking at the demand on Solar products along with solar panel is huge in India and India do import of such products on a large scale. The fact is, that India really needs Solar product manufacturer on a good scale so that the dependency on other countries should reduce also the due to manufacturing inside the country it will reduce the cost for consumers as well.
It is important to work with new technology, so that we can contribute the world in converting its energy source into green energy. Our aim is to send electricity from villages to cities, to develop villages and to generate new energy sources. Defines green power as electricity produced from solar, wind, geothermal, biogas, eligible biomass, and low-impact small hydroelectric sources. We want to set up a polysilicon manufacturing plant in India to reduce on imports of wafers, ingots and cells for integrated manufacturing of solar modules under the self-sufficient India campaign.
